Safety Certificates QLD

A Safety Certificate inspection takes approximately 1 hour. At the completion of the inspection a detailed written report will be issued.

If the vehicle fails an inspection, don’t worry, you have fourteen days to rectify the problem and call us back out for a re-inspection.  I can assist you with rectifying the problem of you wish or simply give you advice on what is needed.

Significant fines apply for failing to display a current Safety Certificate.  Registered cars in Queensland must have a valid Safety Certificate / Roadworthy Certificate before owners can offer them for sale.  When you are purchasing a used car from a private seller, ensure they have a safety certificate / roadworthy certificate that is current.

Some of the basic safety items a Safety Certificate / Roadworthy Certificate covers, are :-

  • Tyres
  • Brakes
